Mohamed was born in Cairo on 1970; he finished his GCE “O” levels from the University of London through the British Council in Cairo in 1987. He graduated in 1992 from Cairo University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Mohamed is the Managing Director of ProGroup MENA and gained extensive commercial and technical experience across his varied career in which he has worked for several Multinational Oil Field companies including Becfield Drilling Services; Precision Drilling and Weatherford International. Prior to his joining ProGroup MENA, Mohamed was the Vice President for International Accounts for Weatherford based in Houston, USA. Weatherford is one of the top four major International Oil field Service Companies.

Mohamed worked in the field within Drilling Services as Measurement While Drilling (MWD) engineer and as a Directional Driller. He also worked in several office assignments within the Middle East Region with Precision Drilling Services and Weatherford Drilling Services. The Geographical Area of responsibility included Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Oman, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria, Libya and India. Then he was promoted first to be the Area Manager for all Weatherford service lines in UAE and then as the Area Director for all Weatherford business in several countries namely (UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, India and Pakistan). Through the Weatherford International HiPot enterprise scheme, Mohamed was promoted to be the V.P. for International Accounts at their Houston Head Quarters in 2016 until he parted ways with them in 2017 to join ProGroup MENA.
